The Law of Assumption

Most of us are familiar with the Law of Attraction.

There’s another law, less familiar but equally fascinating and powerful, called the Law of Assumption.

The Law of Assumption states that by believing (assuming) that the outcome you want already exists in your life, you will manifest it into existence. Most credit this Law of Assumption to author Neville Goddard.

Here’s a true story that helps prove the point.

A young high school student was flunking out of high school. He was being raised by a single mom. He promised his mom that he would take the SAT exam. He scored 1480 out of 1600. That put him in the top 5% of all students.

His mother was in disbelief and asked if he cheated. He promised his mother he didn’t cheat. Also, realizing he was smart, he promised his mother he would go to all his classes and stop hanging around with the students that didn’t go to class.

He attended college, received his master’s degree from an Ivy League college, and went on to be a massively successful and wealthy magazine entrepreneur.

Several years later, the SAT board wrote to him and informed him that he was one of thirteen people sent the wrong score. He actually scored a 740 out of 1600.

The bottom line is that just believing he was smart changed the trajectory of his life.

He assumed he was smart and as a result achieved massive success and wealth.

That’s the Law of Assumption.

No matter what your reality, you can change your future by changing what you assume (believe) about yourself.
